![]() They usually specify thinning ratio and spray psi based on tip size. Thinning the paint is definitely going to be necessary, but always follow manufacturer specs. Airbrushing can be a huge pain in the ass, even pros deal with clogging, spitting, airflow issues, paint thinning, and all the other annoying problems that comes with it. Im sure others have replied with these, but I wanted to contribute.įirstly, give yourself a break. I’m gonna peep thru the thread- but again thanks for your reply Ive been cautious to not put water in too nany spots, Ive very cautiously handled the airbrush when cleaning. The air clearly flows up the nozzle then completley stops at the airbrush chamber itself. Screwed on the air nozzle, pressed the on button. So I put it back together and adjusted the tightness of the lever hoping itd work. When I put the airbrush together, I checked and the nozzle wasnt springing like you said. ![]() Maybe there was a leak in the specific color I had (turbodork paint was the brand) I tried it in a small dish just to make sure I wasnt insane, and the paint hardened up into a spongy blob. conjealed when I tried to thin it? Like literally turned spongy after shaking it well and cautiously dropping in thinner. I think some paint I had was bad, and caused a lot of clogs my first few uses. I’ve possibly gotten ratios wrong here and there, but Ive usually been fairly ok with paint flow. I have ALL the thinners and have been using them. Thank you for the in depth reply!! I wanted to clarify: The sun has literally set and my patgetic self is bout to cry over an airbrush. Someone had the same issue but “i just jiggled the push button and it opened back up!” Ive found solutions for everything else but this. Ive hammered it up and down with the little nozzle button, ive tried to get air in there any way I can. hammer thingy that lets the air enter the brush is stuck. Now you want the problem right? Tl dr: i think the nozzle. The sun literally sets as I just have actual tears in my eyes right now. So I spent a lotta money making a comfy outdoor portable set up for my airbrushing… I set everything up. Let me get some primer, paints, make learning this thing comfy. I have ocd so I straight up cleaned the nozzle and everything 15 times over. the airbrush itself would suddenly blow air then slowly stop after i pressed the trigger. I’m going crazy with this cycle but I thought I could endure.Ī few days ago I was painting and the nozzle seam started to foam up, like between the nozzle cap (not the small one. I spend usually 5 whole minutes painting, an hour plus of clog issues. mostly just Im a noob and dont know what I’m doing. I’ve been having a so-so experience with it. I was SOOO excited to start airbrushing my handmade 3d toys and resin prints. Long version- i got a neo iwata with the portable compressor ( its a dual action gravity) for the holidays. (Plz scroll down if you wanna just see the problem. Im here cuz im actually shaking with upset right now □.
